Turtles have been major influences in mythology and origin stories for hundreds of years. They are one of the oldest symbols to represent the Earth. One of my favourite origin stories comes from the Seneca Haudenosaunee (Iroquois). When Mother Sky fell, the great Turtle rose from the waters to break her fall. 

This Turtle ring features a genuine piece of wampum that I cabbed/shaped myself. It has a little dip in the center that makes it nicely tactile. The wampum is paired with iolite gemstone eyes. The stones are set in fine silver bezels on a hand sawed sterling backing. The silver has been patina darkened and sanded in places for maximum contrast.

Measurements:

This ring will fit a US size 7.25, and cannot be resized. Turtle is roughly 1.75" tall. Ring band is a slight tapered to 1/4" in back.
